A rational number is a value that can be made by dividing two integers. Every integer is a rational number because of notation of integers. All integers (n) can be written as n/1. Most of the values we come across during our daily routines are rational numbers. Irrational numbers cannot be written in a simple fraction form. Examples of irrational numbers include Pi and the square root of two. Try writing those as fraction, good luck with that!
Your introductory students will use these activity sheets to review rational and irrational numbers. Activities include adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers, using number lines, sorting according to value, and more.
